Roller Blinds in Selly Oak

£993 roller blinds fitted

Each blind up to 1 metre wide × 1 metre drop.

Rollers are the blind we reach for when a Selly Oak room needs to stop being a problem quickly. A single panel of fabric winds around a tube at the top of the window, drops when you pull the chain and disappears again when you do not need it. There is nothing fussy about the mechanism, which is exactly why it suits busy houses where a dozen people might use the same kitchen window in a week.

Roller blind fitted at a window – Selly Oak Blinds

Where roller blinds work in Selly Oak homes

Back bedrooms in B29 terraces often face east over long gardens, so a blackout roller is a popular way to keep summer mornings from starting at five. In Bournbrook lets, wipe-clean fabrics make sense for kitchens that see a lot of cooking, and a reverse roll lets the cloth drop clear of awkward handles on replacement uPVC frames. Up in Bournville, where windows are smaller and sills deep, a roller sits inside the reveal without crowding the cottage proportions.

Three roller blinds fitted for £99 is our fitted roller bundle. It covers each blind up to 1 metre wide × 1 metre drop, with the fitter checking your measurements and explaining the included fabrics at your free visit. The bundle is a separate deal from BN-14, which takes 14% off an online booking when no offer is being used; you choose whichever suits your windows better, not both.

If a room has two jobs, like a box room that is a study by day and a guest room by night, a double roller puts a sheer fabric and a blackout fabric on one bracket so you can switch between them. Child-safe chain tensioners come fitted as standard, and spring or motorised versions remove the chain altogether when that suits the household better. Every roller is cut to the width we measure, not trimmed from a stock size, so the fabric sits evenly in the frame with no awkward gaps at the sides.

PVC-coated and moisture-resistant fabrics for kitchens and bathrooms.

Slim metal bars, fabric-wrapped bars or shaped edges for a softer look.

  • Reverse roll

The fabric can drop from the front of the tube to clear handles and window locks.

Questions we hear at the measure

Which fabrics count towards the three-for-£99 deal?

The roller bundle covers each blind up to 1 metre wide × 1 metre drop. At your free measure, ask the fitter to show you the included fabric choices before you decide.

Is a roller dark enough for a bedroom that faces east?

Choose a blackout fabric and fit it outside the recess with a decent overlap. That gives the darkest result a roller can, though a slim edge of light can still show.

What if my uPVC handles get in the way?

A reverse roll lets the fabric fall from the front of the tube rather than the back, so it hangs clear of most handles on replacement windows.
