Faux Wood Blinds in Selly Oak
£2993 faux wood blinds fitted
Each blind up to 1 metre wide × 1 metre drop.
A row of broad slats changes the mood of a room more than people expect. Faux wood blinds bring that weight and warmth while coping with the conditions that make real timber sulk: steam from a kettle, condensation on a cold morning, strong afternoon sun through a back extension. In Selly Oak, where so many kitchens have recently been knocked through and redone, they are often the finishing piece that makes the work look complete.

Where faux wood blinds work in Selly Oak homes
We see them most in terraced kitchens and bathrooms, and in the front rooms of Selly Park houses where a period feel matters but a full shutter would be too much. The slats tilt like a venetian, lift completely clear of the glass, and can be hung inside the recess so original sills and frames stay visible. Fabric tapes hide the cord holes if you want a softer look, and colours run from bright white through greys to darker stains.
The faux wood offer is three blinds fitted for £299, each up to 1 metre wide × 1 metre drop. The fitter measures your windows and talks you through the finishes included, with larger blinds quoted separately. It cannot be paired with the BN-14 code. If you are tempted by real wood instead, which is lighter on wide windows but less happy in damp rooms, we will quote that separately at the same visit.
Practical details are worth knowing before the measure. Faux wood slats are heavier than aluminium, so a very wide window may be split into two blinds that share one line of slats. Cleaning is simple: close the slats, wipe with a damp cloth, then turn them and repeat. Cords are fitted with safety devices, and a wand tilt is available if you would rather avoid a second cord. When the blind is raised, the stack of slats sits at the head of the window, so we will show you how much glass it covers before you decide.

Questions we hear at the measure
Are faux wood blinds all right next to a kettle or shower?
That is exactly where we recommend them over real timber. Faux wood does not swell or warp in steam, and a damp cloth is all it needs.
How does the £299 offer work?
It covers three faux wood blinds, measured and fitted, each up to 1 metre wide × 1 metre drop. We explain the included finishes at your home visit. The bundle cannot be combined with BN-14.
Can you fit a slatted blind to each part of a bay?
Yes. Every face of the bay gets its own blind, measured so that the slats sit level and the headrails meet neatly at the corners.
